Notes
Basic Daily Fee (BDF)
The BDF applies to all respite residents as well as permanent residents. Full Pensioners, Part Pensioners and Self-Funded Retirees all pay the same BDF.
Hotelling Contribution (HC)
The HC displayed is the maximum that any resident can pay. The HC will be calculated by Services Australia, based upon a resident's assets and income.
Non-Clinical Care Contribution (N-CCC)
The N-CCC displayed is the maximum that any resident can pay. The N-CCC will be calculated by Services Australia, based upon a resident's assets and income.
Minimum Permissible Asset Level (MPAL)
The MPAL displayed is the minimum amount of assets a resident must be left with if they pay at least part of their accommodation costs by Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD).
Capped Refundable Accommodation Deposit (CapRAD)
The CapRAD displayed is the maximum amount that can be charged for a room without prior approval from the Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority ie. a RAD of (say) $1,000,000 has to be approved by the pricing authority.
